To many Chinese having Yum Cha is a standard part of life, like say having your morning coffee on the way to work. Anyway, without really anticipating having yum cha while in Richmond it just kind of happened. For those not familiar with Richmond, it is well known for Vietnamese food rather than Chinese.
To sum up, Minh Tan II falls into the category of generic. Nothing too bad and also nothing too special either.

As you can see Minh Tan II has your typical Asian restaurant look. In other words food comes first followed by service and decor being roughly equal. So as far as looks are concerned, Minh Tan II could be anywhere. I am not complaining though, this is just a reality. 
As you can see, the Chinese dumplings look just like anywhere else too, so what really counts is the quality. Minh Tan II falls into the category of satisfactory. Its passable but not in anyway special.
