Zenith - Review - St Kilda

There are a myriad of restaurants in St Kilda although truth be told there probably isn't any true A-grade restaurant too be seen.  Nothing wrong with this, St Kilda is what it is.  Zenith is a restaurant that seems to kind of double as a winebar.  The wine selection is extensive and displayed prominently.

Zenith has that winebar'ish look, is quite cosy and has a nice fireplace that will really stand out during those Victorian winters.  I like the look and it definitely has a welcoming feeling when you venture inside.  The menu isn't too exciting but covers all typical bases.  The menu is dominated by Italian but really is quite a mixture.  Its specialty is paella so that probably is worth a try.

Another classic

The food doesn't really stand out above the mainstream but equally the quality is good. It just doesn't scream, wow! The dishes tried were very unadventurous, chicken parmigiana and a classic steak hence I am not going to really review them other than to say they were good but not necessarily great.  Really the measure of a place is whether you would go back again and I would be happy to go back again to try the paella.
