DiCaprio's - Review - Honest old school food

DiCaprio's Family Restaurant in Hoppers Crossing (88 Derrimut Rd, Hoppers Crossing VIC 3029) is just that. Family orientated and traditional. You could even say old-fashioned but it wears its heart on its sleeve and that honesty shines through.

Onion rings

Now, the traditional way of doing things at Dicaprio's Family restaurant isn't going to be everyone's cup of tea. I enjoyed the old school feel although I wouldn't want every restaurant to be like this. The menu is Italian themed and I think the flavours could be a bit bolder. They have all the expected Italian classics and the dishes all look pretty nice on the plate. They just kind of lacked some kind of edge.

Seafood

If you are looking for and old faithful or just something that harkens back to a more simpler age then DiCaprio's is the place for you. Definitely no pretentiousness here and take that as a good thing.

Seafood pasta

I may not sound that upbeat about DiCaprio's but I genuinely enjoyed my experience here. It's a perfect place to come and enjoy a nice wholesome dinner with family and friends as the weather turns colder and you want to stay closer to home. It's not trendy but it has family charm.

Calamari

DiCaprio's promotes its local charity work when you come in through the doors. Some of it looks a bit dated so hopefully they are continuing their great tradition in supporting the local community and haven't updated their material.
