Renzo's Bar Cafe Italiano - Review - Docklands

Renzo's Bar Cafe Italiano has a nice spot in the Docklands waterfront area.  This could be your perfect spot for a meal before catching a game of footy at Etihad Stadium. But is it worth going?

As you can see Renzo's Bar Cafe Italiano has a nice open modern interior with lots of natural light. It's perhaps a bit plain looking but overall it's inviting.

Renzo's Bar Cafe Italiano is a moderately priced restaurant.  This is great if you want to go out for dinner without breaking the bank and also feel like taking in the Docklands area.

The deep fried green olives , filled with pork and veal crumbed are pretty good.  I think they could plate it more innovatively to elevate the dish to another level though.

Risotto con gamberi
The carnaroli rice with fresh peeled prawns, prawn bisque, white wine and parsley or prawn risotto is a nice tasting dish.  You really have to savour the flavour though as the quantity of prawns is pretty minimal.  Overall though, I really enjoyed its flavour.  Buyer beware though if you expect a lot of prawns.

The flat pasta with fresh mixed seafood (clams, mussels, calamari, prawns) with white wine, garlic and olive oil is good if a bit plain.  Still it lets the seafood shine.  Now if this was top quality seafood that would make all the difference but within the confines of its very fair pricing I cannot complain.  Overall, pretty good but not outstanding.
