Swing Bridge Cafe - Review - Lorne

The Swing Bridge Boat House Cafe in Lorne is nice because it off the main drag.  If you want to enjoy some people watching this probably isn't the place.  Its a nice pleasant walk from the centre of Lorne.  Not too far to be annoying but far enough to make it worth your while.  You also get to walk along a boardwalk beside the stream entrance.
Building

Its an attractive enough looking place although not something special.  It does however suit its surroundings and something more lavish may simply have appeared out of place.

Bread
As you can see, the Swing Bridge Boat Cafe has a nice array of breakfast, brunch and lunch fare.  If you are looking for sizeable portions though you may not be impressed.  In fact I'd suggest you stay clear.
Eggs
You could argue that the food is on the plain side.  In this day and age of My Kitchen Rules and Masterchef our personal expectations can be high.  Personally I can see that its a small business and will cut them some slack.  I like having this nice small operators around the place and the food is pleasant enough although not spectacular.
