Longtable restaurant - Review - Red Hill

You will often see The Longtable restaurant in magazines and newspapers so they either have exemplary marketing or they are well loved.  I think its probably a mixture of the two.

As you can see the food has that modern degustation, Masterchef styled plating and presentation.   Basically everything looks superb on the plate, presentation is in a word - immaculate.
This is going to be one of my lazy styled posts so I'm letting the photo's do most of the talking.

As you can see its kind of old fashion styled with lots of dark wooden furniture with light cream coloured walls and hardboard floors.  It matches nicely with the country feeling you have after driving out to Red Hill.

Depending which way you are facing you can get a good view of the cooking area.  This can be quite good free entertainment if you have a real interest in cooking.

The food is generally pretty good although perhaps slightly underwhelming after reading all of those reviews.  Still, I would still consider going there again as I do like love the presentation and originality of the food.

As you can see all the food is plated superbly and those with a close attention to detail are going to appreciate this. For others its still going to impress although if they are ravenous the servings aren't on the large size.
