Cafe e Biscotti - Review - Block Place near Elizabeth St

Block Place is a nice little cafe lane with distinctive, attractive and nicely presented cafes and restaurants.  Its not a long lane and they are generally more cafe than restaurant but this little street is really worth a visit.  They are kind of upmarket places in a pretty cool street.

Anyway, Caffe e Biscotti has a nice open counter area than opens up for your morning coffee (suitable for evening punters as well).  The place has a nice Frenchy European charm to it, the food tastes and looks fantastic and its kind of in an offbeat area (if you don't happen to work around there).  What I mean is that you kind of have to find it which makes it that much more satisfying.

Belgian waffles are irresistible
The Belgian waffles with berries, syrup, ice cream and cream doesn't really sound exotic and too be honest it isn't.  However everything is perfect about this dish.  The presentation, the crispy waffles, the right amount of syrup, not too sweet not too tart. Everything.  A must have.

night

If you are fortunate enough you might be there when the alley has a bit of live music to add to the character.  this place is definitely worth a visit morning, lunch or dinner.  Next time I will try something more substantial and get back to you.
