Dino's Cafe - Review - Windsor

One of my favourite theatres in Melbourne is the Astor Theatre.  So either before going or after the event itself it can be nice to have a bite too eat or have a drink.  Across the road a few metres away is a great cafe/winebar/restaurant called Dino's.  Don't be put off by the name as it is a great little place.

From the old school stained glass above the doorway, caned art-deco'ish chairs out the front and dark but cool interior this place is worth a visit.  The wine and drink list is extensive, the coffee impressive albeit a bit slow too arrive and the desserts fantastic.  I can't comment on the mains but going by the quality of the dessert I'd definitely give them a chance.

The poached pear creme brulee was devine.  The pear really is for bragging rights as truth be told there isn't much of it.  However the creme brulee is first class and definitely tempts you to pay another visit.

The tiramisu is similarly fantastic.  Nothing to complain about here and a nice way to indulge yourself after a great movie.

It was lacking a bit of atmosphere due to being surprisingly empty.  However, if you do go and its busy you'll definitely enjoy a nice vibe. It has a nice old style glamour feel to it spiced with a bit of a  darkness. I like it.
