Kaneda Sushi - Review - Chinatown

Kaneda Sushi in Chinatown (Mid City Arcade, 200 Bourke St, Melbourne) is a Japanese cafe/restaurant.  It a budget place so perfect for a cheap after work dinner when you are felling lazy or maybe lunch for the inner city worker.

Interior

What is apparent that a lot of the customers are Asian.  This is generally a good sign for an Asian restaurant.  I'm just saying this so please don't be offended.  This restaurant is unashamedly Japanese so there is Japanese paraphernalia everywhere.  It may kind of feel like overkill and even overwhelming but at least it stands out.

Outside

It was an interesting dining experience.  One of the dishes was very good while the other was average.  They do have an extensive menu so Kaneda Sushi is better than quite a lot of other Japanese restaurants that only have a very limited selection of noodles or sushi.

Sushi

If you can select a menu option that appeals to you and it happens to be one of the tastier dishes I believe that you will be well pleased by Kaneda Sushi.

Ramen

On the other hand I have first hand experience of an average dish so you could say its a case of buyer beware.  Still as a budget option I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and would hope that it was just an off day.
