Chi Kitchen - Review - Melbourne CBD

The Chi Kitchen is kind of modern fusion Asian. That's not a bad sounding combination.  The Chi Kitchen also acts as a drinking hole and it;s in this context that it shines.  The Chi Kitchen is kind of perfect for an after dinner drink, in a nice relax and relaxed atmosphere with a bite to eat.  I have to say that my impressions of the food were that it is okay but definitely not special.

Pad Thai noodles are one of my favourite dishes. Its kind of a standard of Thai food (at least for us Westerners). Anyway the pad thai came out and looks the part. It seems to have all the right ingredients and the serving is very generous. The pad thai for those that don't know is chicken, shrimp, egg, onion and bean shoots with Thai rice stick noodles in a sweet tomato sauce.

Looks however, are definitely deceiving.  Overall it just lacked some oomf, spice or x factor. Sadly, another person said he'd heard the same thing another time.
