The Grand BBQ - Review - Target Centre, Bourke St

The Grand BBQ is the busiest and best of the eateries in the Target Centre.  This is really a great place to get a good quality work lunch or bite to eat after work when you don't want to spend too much of your dosh.
You get to select the soup, type of noodles and all the dumplings
The Grand BBQ specialise in a range of fresh noodles and you get to select both the type of soup broth (tom yum, curry or chicken) and the dim sum you want in your noodles.  There is a range of vegetables stuffed with fish such as bitter melon, capsicum, chilli's, mushroom, eggplant.  There is also a wide selection of beancurd and dumplings to add.  Basically, you choose all your own personal favourites.

Remember that this is a food court setting but its nice enough albeit may be a bit cramped.  You can also have a cup of Chinese tea on the house ( its passable in quality but hey - its free).

As befits a foodcourt Chinese restaurant you also get to select from all the old faithfuls.  Roast pork on rice or noodles, beef brisket soup, won ton noodle soup, roast duck or chicken on rice.  Basically all the standards are covered and if you love your roast pork this is a place to come to.

All the standard classic meat dishes with rice are here
All I can say is that the Grand BBQ comes as highly recommended if you happen to be in the vicinity looking for good quality Chinese at a fair price.  Its not the cheapest  but its one of the best.
This is a quiet day. They are pumping at lunchtime.
