The Bridge Hotel is a popular drinking hole and pub in Werribee (197 Watton St, Werribee VIC 3030). I was disconcerted during the time it was empty and looked like it would never open again as it has always looked so attractive externally. Thankfully it has been restored and is as popular as ever.
The Bridge Hotel is faithful to the pub tradition. All the expected dishes at pretty much standard pricing along with the expected good quality. No it's not different from most pubs and you'll not likely get surprised but it is good for what it is and you pretty much know what you'll get just by the word 'pub'.
Of course this is the kind of place where it's great to just relax, it's not pretentious and you can enjoy chatting with your friends and loved ones. It's great that there is pretty much always a crowd here as that creates an atmosphere although if you want some quiet ambiance then maybe steer clear.
I really like The Bridge Hotel for what it is. It has a great and large out drinking area for those inclined, it has great fair pricing and it provides exactly the experience you expect in the tradition of great Australian pubs. It's not really unique except for its very nice facade out front but all up is a place I'd happily go to again.
