Dessert Story is ubiquitous across Melbourne these days. For those into something a bit different (i) taste wise and (ii) visually, its definitely worth trying. Please don't compare against western tasting desserts though.
Dessert Story purports to be Taiwanese. I cannot vouch for Dessert Story's taste authenticity but it certainly is a bit different.
Be prepared for soy, red bean paste, sago, sweet vegetables such as sweet potato and taro, different types of beans, palm sugar and many other assorted ingredients you wouldn't have imagined would appear in a dessert.
Now, will you like it. It really is impossible to say. Go in with an open mind and you might be pleasantly surprised. At the very least you will have enjoyed a new taste sensation (for better or worse).
