Platform 270 is laid out quite nicely and makes an effort to stand out from the crowd. However, if you want fine dining then stay clear. It's a notch below but if you don't want to break the bank it's a good option. The designer intentions are clear.
Platfrom 270 styles its dishes as contemporary modern. Kind of what you see on Masterchef and My Kitchen Rules these days. You could argue the dishes are a bit sparse but that's part of the design ethic.
Platform 270 isn't really in a great location. That's not its fault so to speak but I guess at least after dinner you can cross over to Southbank for a nice romantic walk.
The great selling point of Platform 270 is that you get a modern design ethic of your food at a fair price. You do not have to pay over the top prices here.
I quite like Platform 270 but I know what I am getting. Think about what you expect from a restaurant and decide if Platform 270 matches up. Good but not great food that has a nice modern style in a nicely styled restaurant in an ok location. Platform 270 kinda lacks ambiance as well so keep that in your thought process if you are thinking of coming here.
