Wabi Sabi Salon - Review - Stylish, trendy but perhaps overpriced

Wabi Sabi Salon is a contemporary modern take on Japanese food in Collingwood (94 Smith St Collingwood). If you like trendy then this is the place for you.

Udon

The food at Wabi Sabi Salon really just looks like food out of a glossy magazine. The presentation is immaculate and the food tastes fantastic as well. All the usual Japanese food is here although I would say that the menu is a bit limited. It's more of a lunch place than a dinner place although they do open until 10PM.

Ramen

I have to say that you do pay for style. If you are into budget conscious or value for money then this may not be the place for you. Wabi Sabi Salon has style and substance and it's reflected in the price. I suggest that pricing is fair.

Bento

There is a time and place for everything so if you want to treat yourself to a bit of style and excellent quality for the price then Wabi Sabi Salon maybe the place for you.

Wabi Sabi Salon

If you don't frequent Smith Street very often then I can happily recommend going to Wabi Sabi Salon. For a more frequent visitor I'd suggest that Wabi Sabi Salon is probably a case of every now and then based on its value proposition. Maybe I'm too tight arse. Ha ha.

Interior

Hopefully you can tell that Wabi Sabi Salon is stylish and trendy. Kinda like a trendy pub or cafe only Japanese.

Wabi Sabi Salon inside

I can definitely image a group of friends having agreat time at Wabi Sabi Salon chewing the fat, having some saki and enjoying the great food and atmosphere.
