Craving Crepes (33 Cumberland Drive, Maribyrnong VIC 3032) is next to Edgewater Lake that joins the Maribyrnong river. This is an area close to Highpoint Shopping Centre and Edgewater Lake.
It's the sort of place you go to due to its locality (it's by the lake) than being a must go venue. Basically, if you go for a walk around the lake you have a choice to two cafes, of which, Craving Crepes is one of them.
Like a lot of suburban cafes that start up in new areas, Craving Crepes is a good idea with some intent but without the delivery.
Its above a common functional modern design but only just. It just doesn't own some kind of unique characteristic to make it stand out or make it seem trendy or special in some kind of way. Obviously easier said than done but this is my observation.
Also, the food although having a good marketing trick in having 'Crepes' in the cafe's name doesn't come across as authentic in any way, especially once you enter inside. Although cliched, maybe a French inspired menu would nicely align with their name and give them a marketing and selling edge. Something for them to consider I think.
As you can see Craving Crepes has a modern feel and look inside. It's not really special and doesn't really seem to tie in with their name though.
Anyway, despite itself, Craving Crepes is okay. The main thing going for it however, is really its location.
