Cafe Republic - Review - South Yarra

Cafe Republic (158-160 Toorak Rd, South Yarra VIC 3141) in South Yarra is pretty close to South Yarra train station.  Its also pretty busy on a Friday night so book ahead.

Cafe Republic is perfect for a no nonsense modern friendly busy and relatively mid priced dining experience.  It might be a bit busy for some but being close to South Yarra train station and Chapel Street it's never going to be quiet.  Also, it kind of finds the middle ground of being a place to go out for dinner without being too expensive. 

As you can see Cafe Republic is as contemporary as you can get with a modern sleek feel without being a sterile white (that can and does happen at some places). 

The menu is contemporary modern European. They all have a modern touch and all look very enticing on the plate.  On looks alone, its worth dining out at Cafe Republic.

  

Fortunately, everything tastes good and will meet all your expectations.  Cafe Republic delivers pretty much all you could expect for its fair pricing.  The service is good, it has a nice dining experience, it has atmosphere (as it pretty busy), everything looks very nice on the plate and most importantly, everything tastes good.  Being near Chapel Street, it might be your perfect place to go for dinner before taking in a movie at The Jam Factory.
