The Livingroom - Review - Stylish and subtle

The Living Room (12-18 Claremont Ave) in Malvern is a nice attractive restaurant which is perfect for something a bit special if you live in any of the surrounding suburbs.

The Living Room has a kind of classic feel. Lots of dark brown wooden interior that just looks nice.  Of course, when you are having a glass of wine everything looks that much better!
The food at the Living Room is very contemporary.  It has the modern sleek presentation style that makes you feel it is something special.  And it is special.

Everything looks nice and importantly tastes great as well.  They kind of have everything covered so if you like seafood, duck, beef, pork, you'll basically find something to your liking.
I especially like the atmosphere at the Living Room.  As a basically suburan restaurant people are coming here because its good.  Unlike city restaurants the Living Room really depends on the quality of the food and the atmosphere.  Thankfully for an outsider like me they deliver.

All credit to the rocket, pear and walnut salad.  It's a modern classic now days so its arguable about its originality.  However, with all the other grand food surrouding it it was nice to munch down on the salad.
Dining out is all about treating yourself.  Although I try not to have dessert all that often you have to have dessert sometimes don't you?  Anyway, I'd say the dessert was good without being grand.  It is pretty hard for me to identify truly outstanding desserts these days so its not a knock on the Living Room. It's kind of a reality after a while of dining out.
As you can see, The Living Room has an interesting layout.  It could most definitely be in a better shape but it shape but it still works.
The Living Room's decor also fits perfectly with dining out during winter.  Go there now and enjoy the warmth, cosiness and the great food.
