In direct comparison to last week this week we are visiting a small local Vietnamese restaurant in Footscray called Phong Dinh. This is a nice small modern looking Vietnamese with proprietors who are very friendly and quality of food above the norm. The standard of Vietnamese food in Footscray is very high so it is pretty hard to get a bad one.
If there is one common thread amongst nearly all Vietnamese restaurants it is that their menu's are all almost identical. There is nothing wrong with this per se but it is difficult to get surprised.
I really like this restaurant and wish it was frequented by more customers. It is hard to stand out amongst the crowd but I believe Phong Dinh does and for this it has to be congratulated.
